We are seeking a friendly, motivated Seasonal Part-Time Retail Associate to join our team!

This role is perfect for someone with a love for cooking, an appreciation for local produce, and the ability to work independently while keeping our shop running smoothly. We strive to serve the Ridgeway, Fort Erie, and Crystal Beach community as well as those passing through with a genuine, knowledgeable and friendly demeanour giving people more than what they would expect from a grocery buying experience. The role is very important to us as you will serve as a bridge between our farm and the community we love so dearly.

This is a service-oriented, hourly paid, seasonal retail position beginning at the end of May and through to the end of December with the ideal candidate able to return for the following seasons. End time is also flexible for the right candidate.

responsibilities:

Welcome and assist customers with a warm, community-focused approach
Operate the cash register and handle transactions accurately
Serve coffee, drinks, prepared foods and pastries
Maintain shop standards in terms of cleanliness, organization and vibe
Offer knowledgeable advice about our products
Restock shelves and ensure inventory is well-presented at all times

requirements:

Must be available Fridays and Saturdays **
Food Handlers Certification + Smart Serve Certification is a bonus
A passion for food is key and cooking knowledge is a bonus
Proficiency in using POS systems, such as Shopify is a bonus
Strong ability to work independently to complete tasks efficiently
Community-oriented mindset, able to engage positively and warmly with customers
Reliable, proactive, and highly detail-oriented
Excel in a fast paced, diverse work environment
Ability to troubleshoot, make on the spot decisions and think independently
